Recently I had two kegs of beer, neither of which I was crazy about. An ultra hoppy crystal light left from summer, and a octoberfest that tasted of molasses. My brother who drinks a lot but doesn't brew suggested I combine them. I told him he was nuts. Well, guess what? It worked like a charm.

The hops covered up the molasses aftertaste and the october sweetened up the light beer. I have some skunky euro beers that when mixed with a shot from the keg really straighten up too. Give it a try sometime.

I mix beers, one of the pluses of kegging. Not so much because there's a problem, but just to try different combinations.

It's called a "Black and Tan".

Though, for a real Black and Tan, I think you need a really dark beer, like a Porter or Stout.

Did you mix in the glass (like a black & tan) or did you mix the 2 kegs?

While in Niagara a few months back, they had a few othe mixed beer drinks.

A black velvet 1/2 Guinness and 1/2 cider. I tried this one. Not bad...

I forgot the other name. But it was 3/4 Guinness 1/4 cider I didn't try this one.
