I'll soon be down that way for a few days. I've done a little research, and some of the smaller SD breweries have piqued my interest. We'll be staying over at Mission Beach, so I've concentrated my efforts on the smaller breweries nearby. Does anyone have any comments on the following, and/or have any recommendations in that general area that I've missed?

North Park Brewing
Burgeon Brewing
East Village Brewing
Little Miss Brewing
Societe Brewing
Pure Project Brewing
Eppig Brewing

no idea how the beer is, but Oggi's is in Point Loma/Liberty Station & would be on my bucket list in the area.

where I went to boot camp. USS Recruit (TFFG-1) is right across the street.

spent the first 1/2 of my 6 year enlistment in that area. boot, A school, BE/E, C school.

RECOMMEND: ADALBERTO'S carne asada burritos. On Rosecrans

Modern Times is pretty good and fairly close to where you'll be staying.
Thanks, but I've already been to San Diego and am back home now. While there I hit White Labs, Burgeon, Pure Project, and North Park. With 10 of us, of of which 4 were kids, those were the only breweries I was able to visit.

White Labs is worth the visit, if nothing else for the experience. I was there a couple of months ago and their beer was....well...it was "beer"

You definitely hit some of the better ones on your list IMO, although it is too bad you didn't get to Societe. I think between them and Pizza Port, they are consistently solid and well above average.

Thanks. Agree on White Labs. Societe was definitely on my preferred list to visit but it just didn’t work out. I did see some in a Total Wine and More, so I brought some back with me. I can get a few different Pizza Port beers locally, so even though I do like them, I was less inclined to visit them while I was there.
