I rarely have found mead on tap. But, now am starting to see it a little more often in some micro brew, cideries and I suspect could show up in wineries too. Would like to hear where you have found Mead available and if they are worth seeking out?
Recently had a business trip to Lincoln, NE
Boilers Brewing Company in South Lincoln had 4 Meads on tap. (And some very good beers too)
- A Black Raspberry Meadow Maple Mead - Acerglyn / Maple Wine14% ABV (Did not try)
- A Barrel Aged Quad Buried Mead- Melomel 14% ABV (Very Good)
- A Red, Black, & Blue Bomb Mead - Melomel 14% (Very Good)
- A Blackberry Meadowfoam Sparkling Session Mead - 8% ABV (Bought a Crowler to take home. The others were not available in Crowlers)
Sociable Cider Works in Minneapolis MN typically has a couple of Session Meads available. (Originally was not too impressed, more recently they have been pretty good.)
