This was my 4th or 5th AG and I have to say it went really well, mash/sparge especially. I hit the OG exactly and the pre boil amount also which had been a problem for me previously.
My question......the recipe called for 1/2 lb Vienna malt (3.5 SRM) which evidently I didn't have.......I did however have a bag (1.5 lbs) marked simply "Munich". I also had some Cara-Munich. I try to keep most of the stuff on hand so I don't have to drive into the city but me and the LHBS are going to have do a better job marking the containers, I have some remnants of bags, I am not real sure what is anymore. :^)

I was too far along to back out so I went with the one marked Munich. Any ideas how this might affect the outcome?

I brewed this a while back and made some substitutions as well.

Couldn't get crystal 10, used carahell.

Couldnt get cara-pils, used carabelge - full pound.

Still turned out pretty darn good IMO.
