I just tried some vegetable soup immediately after putting in the veggies and it tastes like raw carrots and potatoes. Is it supposed to taste this way? Will it get better with age?

The flavors will all blend together once the veggies cook. STFU N00B!

You have to wait! the off-flavors you taste are because you are eating what is called "green soup" it needs more time, let it cook for a while longer, and remember what Revvy says: bubbles from the soup are no indication that it is cooking, the only way to be sure cooking is completed is by using your hydrometer! If you are going to keg your soup I reccomend Pureeing it so you dont plug up the dip tube with turnip or carrot.

Hope this helps!!
