Can this be done with mead? I want to make a few small servings. Can I put mead in beer bottles and cap like I do with beer or am I better off to cork?
Thanks,
Matt

I've had zero problems using crown caps on repurposed beer bottles for mead, ever....can't comment on long term storage, but mine have been good for up to 2 years before batch is gone, daddy, gone.

Agree with Fuelish.

Bottle all my mead in amber beer bottles and crown caps, Less than 2 years no problems. (Do not have any that have aged longer than that.) I use oxygen absorbing crown caps. Not sure if they actually help or not but for the extra dollar or so per 120 gives me peace of mind.
