- Tasting Notes
- a very good ordinary bitter smells moderately malty but has the bitterness to back it up
6 lbs Maris otter pale
2 lbs Victory malt
11.4 oz Crystal 40L
2.4 oz Choclate Malt
.80 oz Target 8.4%AA @60mins
.80 oz Fuggles 3.5%AA @15mins
Mash @ 149F for 60 mins Fly sparge with 168F
Aroma is moderately malty but has the bitterness to back it up a slight toasty note as well. My first use of the Hot Head ale yeast by Omega and man this stuff goes to work, hit FG in 3 days, pulled a sample out of the fermenter on day 5 @75F and was already super clear!
