Greetings, fairly new to the brewing world and just got my feet wet on a mead recipe on 9/1. Unfortunately didn't purchase a hydrometer before hand for measurements but recently just picked one up for the next batch I'm about to make tonight.
I think I've found a new hobby!
Current mead fermenting pic below:
1 gallon glass old wine jug, 3lbs raw unfiltered honey, 1oz crushed raisins, 1/4 teaspoon of Brewers Best sweet orange peel, cup of warm black tea, bread yeast..
Plan to make mead and take readings tonight:
1 gallon glass jug, 3lbs raw unfiltered honey, 2 cups organic frozen/ thawed blueberries, couple lemon peels, cup of black tea, Lalvin D47 yeast.
