i've just gotten back to brewing the last few months since moving to stl a couple years ago. i wanted to check if anyone in that area did any kinda water treatment for better brews. i was recently reading that ideal mash ph is 5.3-ish. i recently read a water report that had the ph around 9-ish. don't know much about water chem/ph so wasn't sure if the ph would lower when mashing. the beers i've made so far have been pretty tasty but always looking for ways to make them tastier.
