A while ago I put my airstone (used to aerate my wort) in a pot of boiling water to clean/sanitize. My Miller Lite drinking buddy stopped by and I guess I was too shocked that he asked for a 2nd glass of my IPA that I forgot about the airstone. I came back to an empty pot with a very hot airstone that was now in 2 pieces.

These things run around $15 (like this one: https://www.morebeer.com/products/oxygen-stone-2-micron-flare-threads.html), so if I can fix it great. I have a second one with a similar issue. That one the airstone part spins and and some air leaks out, but the seal between the two pieces is fairly tight.

Some searches turned up mostly a high temp silicone sealant. Will that work as an adhesive?

I see that MoreBeer has a model that looks to be one piece. Maybe I could figure out the tubing needed to connect that to my aquarium pump. https://www.morebeer.com/products/oxygen-stone-2-micron-14-barb.html

A good epoxy (not the 5 minute kind) applied sparingly, would be better. Just don't use so much that you globber up the inside of the stone section and plug it up. JBWeld.
