Have anybody using metabisulfates, asorbic acid, Brewtan-B have seen slow fermentation starts?
I have been using dry yeasts with the proper cell count, and oxygenated wort, and just started checking sulfites with test strips.
I think I over sulfited and under oxygenated.
Just curious if any of you had this learning experience.
This week I had to pitch more yeast, oxygenate more and add DAP. It's not going gang buster's like other times. It didn't do squat for two days.
Ticked at myself for not checking sulfites when I had test strips.
FWIW - Targeted 20ppm in my mash and only expended maybe 10ppm. I'm color blind so it's kind of a guess of into the BK of 10-0 ppm.
Any of you run into this problem?
