- Smooth creme ale taste with more hop flavor.
3 lbs 6-row
3 lbs 2-row
2 lbs Vienna
1 lb flaked corn
1 lb flaked rice
8 oz crystal 20L
1 oz Liberty hops (first wort hops)
1 oz Liberty hops 10 min
WL060 American Ale yeast with starter
mash 152 F for 60 min.
This is my new favorite house ale. I made it with the remains of 2-row, 6-row and veinna malt that I got from a Canadian malt company. It is smooth but has more hop taste and aroma than a typical creme ale. I plan to keep stocked in my keezer at all times during the warm summer weather. My neighbor that only drinks BMC beer thinks this is awesome and now has become a homebrew fan branching into other beers that I brew.
