We called them Clickity Clacks or bolas depending on how we were using them at the time.I think the Jarts were introduced in the 50's and had them around in the early 60's and the Click Clack (Not sure if that's the name or just the noise they made) were some time in the early 70's

I spent many hours playing Parcheesi with my grandmother and siblings at the summer cabin in the Santa Cruz mountains in California. The old house is under fire threat evacuation right now.
Here's one from my own childhood.
Not my actual childhood, because my parents obviously didn't love me enough to buy me a ridiculously expensive 7' plastic aircraft carrier that would dominate their house for 3 months until I got tired of it and didn't care any more and then collect dust and take up space for several years. But one of my friends had one, and I thought it was the coolest thing ever [for about a week].
Don't forget about the cart!
