This is a modified recipe that I originally picked up from here: https://www.homebrewtalk.com/f12/tropical-blond-ale-403398/
I've had nothing but rave reviews for this beer, even from the BMC crowd - several of whom are now very interested in craft beer, when they used to want nothing to do with it. A fantastic summer beer.
6 lbs - 2 Row
1 lb crystal 10
.5 lbs honey malt
10 oz corn sugar
.2 oz Horizon (12% AA) FWH
.5 oz Citra (13.9% AA) 10 min
Whirlfloc and yeast nutrient at 10 min
.5 oz Cirtra 5 min
1 oz Nelson Sauvin (12.6% AA) 1 min
WATER PROFILE:
Ca 66
Mg 5
Na 10
S04 110
Cl 51
bicarbonate 27
Mash 90 min @ 150, double batch sparge
10-14 days in primary, then kegged with a one day cold crash, followed by 3 days on gelatin and hooked up on gas at 10 psi.
Named after the song by Clutch. A fitting name judging on the reactions I've received.
